The rhythmic noize project comprised of duo Shane Englefield and Theo Harper, was established in 2003 and quickly gained a cult following around the Los Angeles area. Their debut performance at the legendary industrial club Das Bunker, in which they opened for noize icons Converter, solidified their popularity within the Los Angeles industrial scene. They continued to play live shows up and down the West Coast with such musical acts as Terrorfakt, Manufactura, and Combichrist. As part of the Mechanismz Collective the duo released their first collection of tracks in a limited edition CDr entitled, We All Seek Total Entropy in 2004. After a small hiatus, W.A.S.T.E. returned to the stage at Das Bunker in April 2006 to present new material from what would become their first major release on Sistinas Music. The release, entitled This is what we seek, featured new and classic tracks along with remixes by the likes of Caustic, Manufactura and Combichrist. This is what we seek was promoted by a North American tour in October and November 2006. After the tour, W.A.S.T.E. went back to the studio to work on tracks and remixes for their upcoming Violent Delights EP.
If entropy is our fate, then this thermodynamic duo will lead us to it dancing.
